FAQ
WHERE DOES THE YOGA TAKE PLACE?
Classes are outdoors take place at various locations around Cloudview Farm. You will most likely be in a grassy or straw filled area. We will let you know the exact location upon your arrival.
WHAT IF I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT YOGA?
No yoga experience necessary. These yoga classes are simple so great for beginners, and the focus is really on the goats. We also have special or private events available that do not have to involve yoga OR can involve a more extensive yoga class with a group of friends.
CAN I BRING CHILDREN?
Children ages 6 and over who are planning to participate in the yoga class with their guardian in attendance are welcome. The guardian will have to sign the waiver for any child under 18. Pricing is the same for all participants. We do not have additional staff that can watch unsupervised children.
DO I NEED TO BRING A MAT?
Bring a mat, towel or blanket. But leave your favorite one at home because IT WILL GET DIRTY and there can be some wear and tear from the goat hooves on your personal mat.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN A CLASS?
We usually have anywhere from 10-20 participants.
DO YOU HAVE WATER?
You can bring your own water and refill your bottle out of the tap (it’s well water). We also have bottled water and other beverages available for purchase at our Farm Store.
DO YOU HAVE RESTROOMS?
We have a port-a-potty restroom.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN A CLASS?
We usually have anywhere from 10-20 participants.
ARE THE GOATS CLEAN AND HEALTHY?
Absolutely! We keep them very healthy and groomed, and they all have collars on for easy handling.
WILL THE GOATS POOP OR PEE?
Goats are just farm animals walking and playing among you. They are not trained to not poop or pee, they just do it at will. It will normally be on the ground around you…sometimes on your mat, but not likely directly on you.
HOW OLD ARE THE GOATS?
The goats are all different ages. We do not breed, so we do not have babies unless it’s a rare occasion where we have rescued one. Most of our goats in yoga class are a small dwarf breed and are much smaller than most goats. They all have different personalities and the older goats are more chill and like to be petted and loved on.
DO THE GOATS HAVE HORNS?
Most of the goats in yoga class do not have horns, but some of them do. You can be poked by a horn. They head butt each other for play or attention, but the goats we invite to class have human interaction on a daily basis and want to be petted and fed snacks.
WILL THE GOATS BITE OR HURT ME?
It is in their nature to nibble to get your attention, especially if they think you have snacks. They WILL nibble at your fingers, your clothes and ESPECIALLY your hair (so good idea to wear it up). They love hoodie strings. They may get jealous of each other and may butt one another to seek your attention. If a goat jumps on you, they could accidentally and unintentionally scratch you with their hooves. This is why I strongly recommend a T-shirt covering your back and leggings or yoga pants (not shorts). They all do have collars, so you may use their collar and redirect them if they are too much in your personal space.
