Food and Folk FestivalJune 19th & 20th

A free, all-ages weekend celebration of music, food, and community in Soap Lake – with Friday events in town and a full festival day Saturday at Cloudview Farm.

Cloudview Kitchen – Live music and great food starting around 5pm, followed by DJ Tru-Ah. DJ Tru-Ah energizes events with versatile, genre-spanning sets. An expert at reading the room, he brings people together to create a memorable and lively atmosphere. (Be ready to dance!)

Soap Lake Library – FLGC, the Soap Lake Library, and Soap Lake Community Center are working together on a free music related activity to take place on Friday afternoon.

Bucket Drumming Workshop with John Owens – Workshop starts at 11am. Registration will be requested (link coming soon!). This is a free, all-ages bucket drumming workshop with renown percussionist and educator John Owens, PhD. Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned pro, this is your chance to learn from a master. John’s impressive background ranges from performing with the US Army Band and Disneyland to street drumming in Washington DC and touring across Europe.

Wanapum Native American Discovery Unit (WNADU) – The WNADU is the mobile part of the Wanapum Heritage Center. The WNADU is an award winning , customized motorhome that brings the Wanapum ‘s history and culture to us. Learn who the Wanapum are, their lifestyle of yesterday and today, what foods they eat, about their way of life, their stewardship of what is important to them, and how they maintain and perpetuate their culture.

The Pangaleers - are a family-friendly, Moses Lake based band who perform mostly originals inspired by piratey pangolins. They’ve even played at the Gorge!​
Kendall Lujan - is a Portland-based artist whose genre-blending songs explore love, loss, and growth with emotional honesty
and a maturing creative voice.
Tinned Fish - is Ellensburg-based string band that performs a refreshing mix of old-time, bluegrass, country and folk, blending original arrangements with traditional classics.
Nick Cain - is a country singer-songwriter whose honest, heartfelt songs turn real-life experiences into stories that connect easily
with listeners.
Leif Totusek - brings his genre-blending Freestyle Candela sound to the stage, fusing African -inspired soukous,
Cuban rumba, and jazz into vibrant, dance-ready world music.
Yogoman Burning Band - is an irresistibly energetic, genre-blending music and performance style that consistently gets audiences dancing, celebrates joyful connection, and showcases the band’s infectious creativity and unpretentious spirit
